World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like damage from PvE and crit chance.
For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will suffer 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).
The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost increases with the item's level.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons to give them a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them. The item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level for a component to be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade could have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of that equipment with the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.
A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of an armored weapon or. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.
Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of an item will be available at the next reset. upgrade item gives players an incentive to upgrade their equipment even if they are unsure what will be improved following the reset.
Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a high risk that the item may become obsolete or even break when it fails. A failed upgrade will ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the effectiveness of all nodes in their radius and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in many ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 as soon as possible.
item upgrader 'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and they provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes much faster.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have the desired Glyphs then you have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.
Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, therefore it is best to place Glyphs in strategic spots on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The upgrade system for items allows players to boost the stats of specific items by inserting upgraded components. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.
When a player upgrades an item it is replaced with a different item of the same kind. This means that the same armor piece will become an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will also come with a bonus of its own. This can be a downside in that the item could be more expensive even if you don't need it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrade s. The item will be replaced with a brand new one that has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This can be useful however it should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times which increases their value and allows the player to modify their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or is able to swim like dolphins). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item can be very valuable in PvP, as a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.
Requirements

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an item it is given an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item returning to its initial state and the player having to purchase more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.
If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned like crit chance attack damage, other effects (such as increased heal over time or reloading speed). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.
If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied before any attack damage increases. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is computed every time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a typical equipment item might have 5 upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires an individual amount of ingredients for upgrading.
