World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades can be used to boost the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade, it may increase the rarity of an item, or its Mark Level and increase other stats.

Each item has a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the following one by a set amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's basic stats increase when it is upgraded. This value is the sum of the perks that are leveled up (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades to items can be costly, depending on the upgrader you choose and what type of upgrade you choose to make. This is due to the number of perks that must be modified to upgrade an item.

The level of an item is a popular measurement of power and can be seen on all tooltips for items. It can also be used to limit the amount of PvP gear players can use since PvP is not available at a lower level. The average level of an item can be found in the character sheet.

The level of an item can help players compare the strength of equipment when deciding to purchase or sell. It's an excellent indicator of an item's quality and the amount of damage it's able to deal. Comparing items in the inventory of a vendor is possible using the item level.

On your PC, you can view the item level by pressing ALT or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the complete description of the item, as well as its level. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel in chat.

There are several theories on how the item level calculation is carried out. One theory says that the item level is calculated by formulas that determine how valuable the stats of an item really are. It takes into account the fact that different perks have different worth and gems in sockets increase the value of the item overall. This process can result in a calculated value for the item's level, which is typically close to the actual Blizzard level of the item.

However, this is not the only factor which determines the ilvl of an item, as the level of the area the item dropped in can alter the value of its stats, for example by adding an additional level to its crit rating or haste rating. This means that items dropped at higher levels will have more the ilvl than items from lower level instances.

Item Stats

The item's stats can determine the fate of an item for players. The game uses them in a variety of ways to encourage players to not restrict themselves to a particular weapon and to encourage them to try out other weapons. The base stats of a weapon are enhanced by the weapon's stat mods which are then boosted by the player's level.

Item upgrades add to that by boosting certain stats on the item. The rarity of an item determines its upgrade cost. For instance, a gray or white item can only be upgraded once, whereas items with rare levels will be upgraded multiple times at higher prices.

Affixes are a different method to change an item's stats. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. Affixes are used to give items additional damage or other special capabilities (such as reviving dead or reducing cooling downs) or to differentiate them by adding a name.

All affixes are being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade window, and pressing the green button. This process will cost the player a specific amount of gold as well as items that can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same way as other rerolling options.

In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may select which stats to keep on an item when it is upgraded. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However, all items will contain at least one stat within the range, unless they are an exclusive item, or the item is a God Roll from a raid boss.

This is another aspect that could be changed by introducing an option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes or deciding which stats to boost. Like the base equipment, it will have to be done per item, and the interface for item comparison will not show all possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player boosts the probability of obtaining items as well as the properties spawned by loot and the strength of these properties. It doesn't, however, directly affect damage or the ability to  upgrade item s. It simply gives players a chance to upgrade their equipment earlier in the game and is thus more useful in the initial game run than in later ones, as most players prioritize greater weapon scaling and defense over damage gains.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chance of being successful when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith’s overall chances of upgrading, which increase with each item level. They can also be increased with the use of anti-materials such as the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

The shields, armor, and weapons have the default Luck value of 40. These items can then be upgraded with golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the type of material used) to grant an additional +40 Luck or to increase the luck of an item up to 140.

Moreover some items, like the Hollow weapon, which is infused with Hollow, can be equipped to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by five percent. These items can be purchased from the shop or made using the correct ingredients.

Item Failure

Upgrades to items are a costly process and not all upgrades will be successful. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to increase their chances of success or even prevent themselves from losing an item in the event that the upgrade fails.

The rate of success of an upgrade is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the chance of completing the upgrade successfully, and can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials.  item upgrader  of success can only be increased as high, and the probability that the upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%..

The performance of an can be affected by the luck of the item. Every item has an average success rate of 25 percent and each item that has Luck increases this chance by 5%.

The upgrade overlays of the item are displayed above items in the inventory. This could cause obscurity to enchantment effects or other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
